Quebec and Canada are facing a housing crisis to which concrete solutions must be found. According to the CMHC, 1.2 million new housing units will have to be built in Quebec by 2030, to restore affordability.

In order to collectively provide ourselves with the means to achieve this objective, the ACQ, APCHQ, CORPIQ and UDI are putting forward 13 recommendations, grouped around four major themes:

  • Access to property;
  • Rental supply;
  • Infrastructure investment and program improvements;
  • Decarbonization of buildings.

All parties are invited to draw inspiration from this to support their election proposals on housing.
